Collaborative Action Table for Connected Youth CATCY

The Collaborative Action Table for Connected Youth (CATCY) brings together various stakeholders from the community sector, mental health, and education in order to co-develop solutions adapted to the digital realities of 14–25-year-olds.

CATCY objectives: Promote intersectoral collaboration.

The CATCY creates a space where youth workers, researchers, mental health professionals, and digital experts can share insights and develop common strategies.

Address current challenges: Discussions focus on issues such as social isolation, psychological distress, and vulnerability among young people.

Strengthen the efforts of the various stakeholders in the field

The CATCY explores various issues related to young people and their digital environments.

For example, during one meeting, the CATCY welcomed the Ludic Mind Studio at McGill University, led by Dr. Manuela Ferrari. This session highlighted several innovative projects:

  • The Road Ahead: A serious game designed to raise awareness among young people about mental health issues.
  • Étude sur les jeunes joueurs au Québec : Présentation des résultats préliminaires d’une enquête menée auprès de 800 jeunes joueurs.
  • Effects of video game streaming: An analysis of the emotional and social impacts of watching video game streams. Projects in development.

The CATCY embodies an innovative and collaborative approach to addressing the challenges young people face in the digital world. By bringing together diverse experts and integrating digital tools into intervention efforts, it helps build a healthier and safer online environment for Quebec youth.
